KNYSNA ON SALE UPDATE
Date : 2006/12/01
Author : Admin
Date : 2006/05/05

The Knysna of Sale campaign, which was initiated by Knysna Tourism in order to bring more people to the town of Knysna during the months of May and June, is growing from strength to strength with members of Knysna Tourism showing their usual enthusiasm and getting involved wherever possible.

There are 131 members participating thus far, with new members registering daily. The mix consists of 65% accommodation establishments, 15% activities, 10% restaurants and 10% retail.

To date, the Knysna On Sale website has had over 164000 hits and that number keeps climbing daily. To view the site, visit www.knysnaonsale.co.za.

Due to the large amount of press advertising that has been occurring over the past 2 months, the interest in the site is significant.

Thompson Tours is the preferred tour operator for Knysna On Sale and has already received bookings worth over R163000.00.

The Rotary International Conference will be held in Knysna this year from 04 -07 May 2006. All Rotary members have used the Knysna On Sale website to make their bookings. Approximately 500 bookings have already been made by just Rotary members.

There is a great demand for the perfect mid year getaway and Knysna has decided to come to the party and give the domestic traveler everything they want and more.
